A former Kilmarnock student has been recognised for all of her efforts teaching the next generation of doctors over the past 18 years.Dr Sigi Joseph earned the Discover General Practice champion award for her tireless efforts delivering training and engaging with medical students and foundation doctors.The ex-Grange Academy pupil believes she beat the other hopefuls to the national prize with her upbeat personality and enthusiasm for the job which has been criticised in some quarters during the pandemic."I firmly believe we need to be positive and encouraging especially at a time of a demoralised profession as it is still the greatest job in the world," she told Ayrshire Live."I was absolutely delighted when I found out I was shortlisted
