Forget ‘Jeopardy!’ LeVar Burton set to host new trivia game show

nypost.comnever get the chance to host “Jeopardy!,” but he’s still staying in the game show circuit.The “Roots” actor, 64, is teaming up with Entertainment One to create a game show based on Hasbro’s famed “Trivial Pursuit.” Hasbro purchased Entertainment One for $3.8 billion in 2019.
Burton is set to host the series and scored an executive producer role as well.Tara Long and Geno McDermott from eOne and LeVar Burton Entertainment’s Sangita Patel will be producing alongside the actor.Long, who is the President of Global Unscripted Television for eOne, said in a statement, “LeVar Burton has been an iconic member of American pop culture for decades from ‘Roots’ to ‘Reading Rainbow’ to ‘Star Trek’ and beyond.
