South Lanarkshire councillors are urging residents to be cautious about scammers as new fire safety regulations come into play.As of February 2022, new requirements for interlinked smoke alarms will be implemented for homeowners.The new regulations mean that all homes will need to have one smoke alarm in the most-used room, one in every circulation area on each storey or landing and a heat alarm in the kitchen.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
