Five new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Greater Manchester today including the first three in Manchester itself, taking the total in the region to 19.
The Manchester Evening News understands that one of the confirmed cases is a Royal Mail worker. The Department of Health today said that as of 7am this morning the number of confirmed cases of the virus across the UK, also known as Covid-19, had risen to 206.
And five of the new cases confirmed today are in Greater Manchester it has been confirmed, taking the total in the region to 19.
That includes the first three cases in the city of Manchester. The government list the number of cases in the Manchester City council area at five.
