First Oxford University/AstraZeneca vaccine batch delivered in Bolton

Bolton mass vaccination programme and tweeted on Friday: "First AZ vaccine delivery in Bolton yesterday. "Can’t remember what life was like before having to count and wait and plan constantly for vaccine news."This weekend, Bolton CCG confirmed that vaccinations using the AstraZeneca jab would begin early this week at the Tonge Moor Health Centre.Some people have already been vaccinated with the Pfizer/BioNTech dose at the site.The health board also announced new vaccination sites which are due to start the vaccination programme over the next two weeks.The first phase of the mass vaccination scheme was launched on December 15, covering people registered at six GP practices across the Turton Primary care Network.More over 80s were vaccinated.
