The first coronavirus deaths at NHS Nightingale North West Hospital have been reported as the number of people to die in Greater Manchester rises again.
Two people have died at the temporary hospital set up in Manchester Central Convention Centre, NHS figures reported today reveal.
It comes as another 18 people with Covid-19 are reported to have died in the region's hospitals, bringing the total number to 1,695.
Nightingale North West was opened on April 17, with recorded speeches from the Duchess of Cornwall and Health Secretary Matt Hancock.
