A man who stabbed his ex-girlfriend to death and claimed a voice called 'Chuckie' told him to do it has been sectioned and jailed for life.
Paul Crowther attacked gifted university student Bethany Fields, 21, after tracking her down to a pub in Huddersfield town centre in September last year.
Crowther had previously bombarded Miss Fields with threats after she broke up with him and started a new relationship. Prosecutors acknowledged he was suffering from schizophrenia at the time of the killing and accepted his guilty plea to manslaughter.
