Metropolitan Police officers said they were called to Whitewebbs Lane, Enfield, at about 7.15pm after they were alerted by the London Ambulance Service.
A spokesman for Enfield MPS tweeted: “Called by LAS at 7.15pm to Whitewebbs Lane after a man was found with a suspected gunshot injury to his stomach. “The man, believed to be in his 50s was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital.
His condition is being assessed.”There have been no arrests at this stage. Enquiries are ongoing.Any witnesses or those with information have been asked to call 101.
