The pair – who play David Metcalfe and Victoria Sugden – have not appeared on the soap since October 28 following an on-set row among cast members in which they were involved.
We exclusively reported on the bust-up last week. The actors have been absent from the set while bosses made enquiries into the incident – although they have both now returned to filming.
Their unexpected absence was explained on screen on Thursday, when it was revealed that their characters had travelled to Portugal to visit Diane Sugden in her new home.
