EasyJet had scrapped all Spain package holidays but confirmed that flights will go ahead. The budget airline announced that along with mainland Spain they will cancel also breaks to the Canary Islands and the Balearic Islands until July 31.
Airline bosses have apologised to customers and are aiming to restart the packages from August, reports The Mirror. They claim the decision comes from purely safety reasons and promised to be 'very flexible' for customers still determined to fly this summer.The decision comes after a quarantine U-turn by the Scottish and UK Governments on Saturday night as they imposed restrictions on tourists returning home from Spain due a a spike in virus cases there.The Scottish and UK Governments have removed Spain.
