EasyJet has scrapped flights to Greece with further cancellations expected after revealing it's shutting three UK airport hubs.
The budget airline had been forced to make the decision after the Greek government extended its ban on flights from the UK until July 15.
But this afternoon holidaymakers were hit by a fresh blow when easyJet announced that it was preparing to axe 727 pilots and permanently close three major UK airport bases as part of a huge restructuring following the global coronavirus pandemic.
Almost 1-in-three pilot jobs are at risk as easyJet looks to close its Stansted, Southend and Newcastle airport bases. This will lead to further flight cancellations for millions of customers along with changes to departure airports.
