EastEnders fans concerned house party scenes could encourage 'lockdown raves'

EastEnders fans were left perplexed this evening as they switched on the soap to watch a teen house party in full flow - despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Some viewers were even concerned that the party could encourage "illegal raves", as Home Secretary Priti Patel reiterated this evening that police officers would be enforcing the lockdown regulations.

Of course, it would have been incredibly difficult for the BBC soap to predict England would be in its third national lockdown around three months ago, when the episodes were filmed.

Regardless, some tweeted their concerns over EastEnders airing a scenes with a house party, in which no one was wearing masks.
