The council has been accused of stalling on a promise to protect a historic bridge over the River Dee from heavy vehicles.Balmaghie Community Council claims little has been done to prevent prohibited use of the A-listed structure.It also said a broken concrete flagstone over which a woman recently fell and broke her arm had “still not been sorted”.Under pressure from residents, the council announced a five-point plan early last month to tackle the issue.But locals are furious that large agricultural vehicles and trailers continue to cross the bridge, which was built in 1737.Convener Shirley Thomson told the News: “Balmaghie Community Council is disgusted that despite numerous promises from the council the repairs have not been completed on
