Dumfries and Galloway Council accused of investing in fossil fuels while pledging to tackle climate change
Council environment champion Dougie Campbell said: “It’s only right that whilst protecting the pensions of fund members, that we take any action we can to respond to climate change both globally and locally.“So I welcome the news that the council’s pension fund plan is to join the Climate 100+ Initiative which I hope will ensure that we have sustainability and ethics at the heart of investment decisions.”
