Duffy slammed Netflix's 365 Days for glamorising sex trafficking after her own traumatic ordeal. In a scathing open letter addressed to Netflix's CEO Reed Hastings, the singing superstar blasted it "irresponsible" to depict kidnap and rape as "erotic" in the film.

Netflix's 365 Days tells the story of Sicilian Mafia member Massimo who kidnaps sales director Laura and gives her a year to fall in love with him.

Horrified Duffy called the movie's "erotic" portrayal of kidnapping and rape as "careless, insensitive and dangerous" after her own violent experience.
