Megan Thee Stallion and Dua Lipa unite to bring their fans a hot girl anthem for 2022, and the music video serves supernatural wickedness.Directed by Dave Meyers and produced by Freenjoy, the video features the 27-year-old rapper and 26-year-old singer as the stunning divas they are with an arachnid twist. When two men wander into a mystical forest, they find the duo's lair hidden amongst trees shaped like women's bodies, and they lure them into their fantastical abode.Of course, once they've been ensnared by the gorgeous women and their delicious cake (see what they did there?), they realize they've been captured by deadly predators.

“Sweetest Pie.”The music video, which dropped on Friday, features a mixture of magical, fanatical vibes and sexy booty-popping.The clip was directed by Dave Meyer and the concept was created by Meg herself.The scene opens with a breathtaking waterfall in a grassy green forest.Megan, 27, and Lipa, 26, then pop up on screen sporting black leather hats and gowns, looking rich.Other shots show the “Levitating” singer and the “Body” rapper dancing in bright bejeweled corsets against pastel-colored Versailles-esque backdrops. The backgrounds are reminiscent of “Hansel and Gretel” meets Marie Antoinette.

Dua Lipa is facing a second copyright lawsuit over her hit ‘Levitating’, less than a week after it was reported that Artikal Sound System had sued the singer for allegedly plagiarising their song ‘Live Your Life’.As Billboard reports, in a complaint filed in Manhattan federal court on Friday (March 4), songwriters L. Russell Brown and Sandy Linzer allege that Lipa “duplicate[d]” the “signature” opening melody for ‘Levitating’ from their 1979 song ‘Wiggle and a Giggle All Night’ and 1980 song ‘Don Diablo’, performed by Cory Daye and Miguel Bosé respectively.“The signature melody is the most listened to and recognizable part of the infringing works and plays a crucial role in their popularity,” the complaint reads.

Russell Brown and Sandy Linzer have filed a copyright lawsuit against the musician, claiming she copied two of their songs to create Levitating.A complaint reportedly filed in Manhattan federal court accuses Dua of copying their 1979 track Wiggle and Giggle All Night performed by Cory Day, and 1980 song Don Diablo, performed by Miguel Bosé.According to the songwriters, the opening melody to Levitating is a ‘duplicate’ of their songs.Their complaint, seen by the outlet, makes references to two of the songs at the centre of the case, with lawyers for Brown and Linzer writing that Dua has ‘levitated away plaintiffs’ intellectual property’, and will be unable to ‘wiggle out of their willful infringement’.

Florida reggae band Artikal Sound System have filed a complaint in California federal court alleging that Dua Lipa infringed on the copyright of their 2017 track "Live Your Life" for her massive 2020 hit "Levitating." Their complaint claims Lipa and her co-defendants — including Warner Records and songwriters Clarence Coffee, Jr., Sarah Hudson, and Stephen Kozmeniuk — "listened to and copied 'Live Your Life' before and during the time when they were writing 'Levitating.'” It's a straightforward copyright claim, with the plaintiffs' attorneys alleging that, "[g]iven the degree of similarity, it is highly unlikely that 'Levitating' was created independently from 'Live Your Life.'” The allegation rests on the likeness of the two track's choruses (in Levitation's case, the chorus' second half), which have nearly identical chord structures — albeit ones relatively common in pop music — and vocal melodies, as well as lyrical similarities.
