drunk who left a woman traumatised by taking off his clothes and climbing into bed with her while she slept has been spared jail.Craig Delaney, 26, clambered into bed with the woman, who did not consent to him being there, in December 2019, in Ayrshire.
Prosecutors had alleged it was a sexual offence but Delaney pleaded guilty to an alternative charge of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner.
When he returned to the dock at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court yesterday to learn his fate, solicitor Sandy Currie said: "He is ashamed that his actions have impacted on people in the way that they have. "This has given him a very serious wake-up call as far as alcohol is concerned."He's thoroughly ashamed of the whole episode." Sheriff Alistair Watson.
