Aerial photos show the extent of the damage caused by a huge 15ft by 20ft sinkhole that opened in a street following a water main rupture.
Water gushed into a street in Old Swan, Liverpool, after the main burst, causing a flood as homes were evacuated late on Friday night.
Firefighters worked to restrict the flow of water as road closures were put in place. Water supplies to some homes in the area were cut off for some time, the Liverpool Echo reports.
