Sex offenders, rapists and a killer have been brought to justice after victims appealed a decision NOT to prosecute them. Exclusive data shows 132 cases went through the courts in one year after challenges brought under the Victims’ Right to Review (VRR) scheme.

Among the successful prosecutions was a manslaughter challenge, 38 cases of violence, seven thefts, four frauds and 14 sex offences including four allegations of rape and child sex crimes.
