Doctor Who stars Bradley Walsh and Tosin Cole have quit the BBC sci-fi show. The pair have played The Time Lord’s companions for the past two series.
Fans will see retired bus driver Graham O’Brien (Bradley) and step grandson Ryan Sinclair (Tosin) in the festive special with the Daleks.
But they won’t be in the next series due to air in 2021 and will be seen as a major blow to the show. The pair’s departure leaves The Doctor (Jodie Whittaker) with just one companion Yasmin Khan (Mandip Gill).
BBC chiefs are staying tight lipped about whether Graham or Ryan perish when they face The Daleks later this year. It is understood the stars’ work schedules led to their decision to leave.
