Doctors in Wuhan say they have brought a critically ill man back from the brink of death by giving him a double-lung transplant.
The Chinese city is at the centre of international suspicion after unverified reports suggesting Covid-19 escaped from a research centre in Wuhan.
But doctors in the region have pioneered a huge new treatment against the effects of the deadly coronavirus, which has so far killed more than 266,000 people across the world.
The critically ill man, named as Cui An, tested positive for Covid-19 in early February and had been hooked to a life-support machine for more than two months.
