Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes goalkeeper Dean Henderson has been given “a wake-up call” following a below-par display against Burnley.
Henderson has usurped David de Gea as United’s first choice goalkeeper in Premier League matches, starting each of the last six matches in the division.
The 24-year-old has conceded just three goals in that run and has generally impressed with his strong command of his area and shot-stopping skills.
However, the England international gave an erratic display against the Clarets on Sunday; he was caught in no man’s land after just 20 seconds when Chris Wood converted a cross - which was disallowed for offside - and conceded from James Tarkowski’s header from a corner five minutes
