David Tennant spoke of his shock when his minister father swore in front of him for the first time while impersonating Billy Connolly.
The actor told how the Very Reverend Sandy McDonald launched into foul-mouthed routines after watching a London show by the comedian.The churchman, a former Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, even uttered the C-word while imitating the Big Yin.Tennant, 49, said he was stunned as he had never heard his late dad use bad language.He said: “Never, ever did I swear in front of my parents and my parents never swore in front of me until one night my dad went to see Billy Connolly.“He was staying with me in London and he went to see him and he came back and started doing bits of Billy.
