Darts star Michael Smith has sent a message to his "trolls" amid the pain of losing his eighth final.Bully Boy had a great chance to end his unwanted streak and win his first major tournament at the UK Open last weekend but was agonisingly beaten 11-10 by Danny Noppert.It comes after the world number four fell at the final hurdle at the World Championships against Peter Wright earlier this year.Having received taunts online, Smith has hit back with some admirable perspective on life.The 31-year-old wrote on social media: "Don’t feel the need to say this but want to. "For all the trolls with the messages of abuse I’ll let you into a little secret of my life.
Yes it hurts bad losing finals and still not having that major in my locker."But 9 years ago when I met my mrs and didn’t have a pot to p*** in and my sister had to pay for flights for me to go and see dags or get home because I couldn’t afford it.
But last fast forward to me writing this message."I’m married I have 2 kids and living a life I didn’t think was possible all those years ago.
