EASTENDERS’ Adam Woodyatt blasted a troll impersonating his “assistant” in a bid to steal cash from innocent fans. The soap star hit out at the scammer with the Instagram handle “cindy_jane_7” which is a reference to his EastEnders character Ian Beale's exes Cindy and Jane Beale.

Former EastEnders star Laurie Brett, known for her iconic role as Jane Beale on the BBC soap, has revealed she underwent surgery in an emotional hospital post shared with fans. The 54-year-old actress, who graced the screens of EastEnders for 13 years before departing in 2017, took to social media to update her followers on her health journey. In the heartfelt snapshot shared on X - formerly known as Twitter - Laurie was pictured in a hospital gown, clutching a cuddly rabbit toy to her shoulder.

Lynda Baron has passed away at the age of 82, her agent has announced. Lynda was best known for her appearance on the sitcom Open All Hours, where she starred alongside Sir David Jason and Ronnie Barker as Nurse Gladys Emmanuel. Her agent of nearly 30 years Dawn French told PA: "It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved client Lynda Baron.

TWO EastEnders legends have been reunited on stage for a new crime thriller show with a deadly twist. Adam Woodyatt and his former on-screen wife Laurie Brett - who played Ian and Jane Beale on the BBC soap - will act side-by-side in theatres. Adam, 53, and Laurie, 52, will start together in the stage production Looking Good Dead, playing husband and wife Tom and Kellie Bryce.

EastEnders fans could be preparing to welcome Jane Beale back to Albert Square in the near future, actor Laurie Brett has suggested.The former soap star dropped a huge hint that her character who was married to Ian Beale could be the latest ex resident to be making her way back to Walford in an interview with BBC's Morning Live on Thursday. Laurie, who has had two stints in the soap, made her last return in 2014 and left in 2017, managing to keep her entrance and exit a secret until the scenes aired, so it's possible she is hiding more big soap news.
