EastEnders has confirmed the return of a soap legend 34 years after their first appearance on the BBC show. David Wicks (Michael French) made his bombshell debut all the way back in 1993.The villain turned up at dad Pete Beale's (Peter Dean) funeral and went on to be one of the most famous faces of the soap.
As Walford’s notorious love rat, David was central to several big storylines. From fathering plenty of children to getting into violent scuffles, his time on the show was not short of drama.
David nearly struck up a romance with Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer) before learning she was actually his daughter, and he also famously had a feud with step-brother, Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt).
