EastEnders legend June Brown has tragically passed away at the age of 95, it was announced on Monday 4 April. The BBC One soap confirmed the sad news in a statement, which read: "We are deeply saddened to announce that our beloved June Brown, OBE, MBE sadly passed away last night." June was best known for playing Dot Cotton on the soap, a role she undertook for an incredible 35 years. However, this wasn't the actress' first soap role as she enjoyed a short stint in Coronation Street as Mrs.

Come Outside star Lynda Baron has died, aged 82. The actor’s death was confirmed by her longtime agent Donna French. A cause of death is yet to be disclosed.

The Chase star Anne Hegerty has revealed she’d love to land a role in ITV soap Coronation Street.
