Darts champion asks Jurgen Klopp if he can bring his trophy on Liverpool parade
dailystar.co.ukLiverpool fan Jonny Clayton is dreaming of parading another Premier League trophy in front of the Kop.And the 'Ferret' still hopes his favourite team can match his feats of 2021 – by landing a quadruple of major titles as they hope to add the FA Cup, European Cup and Premier League title to their victory in the Carabao Cup.The Pontyberem plasterer has already qualified for the Cazoo Premier League darts play-offs in Berlin next month after his brilliant win against Michael van Gerwen in Glasgow last week.
Now Clayton, the defending champion, wants Liverpool to regain their perch at English football's summit and complete their own quadruple.
Clayton said: “I’m a massive supporter of Liverpool. Jurgen Klopp has done the job for us big-time and now he’s signed up (to a new contract) we’ve got many more years to come.
If I can defend my Premier League title I’d be happy to take a lap of honour at Anfield with the trophy - hopefully alongside their Premier League trophy, that would be very cool. “But to be totally honest, I’d happily take four tickets to Paris for the Champions League final as well!
