Dan Walker is stepping down from BBC Breakfast after six years to present on Channel 5.The TV presenter, 45, is set become the lead anchor of Channel 5's flagship news bulletin 5 News, with an expanded role that also involves fronting a string of new shows across the channel.It will see Dan front the newly-revamped hour-long 5 News bulletin show, replacing Sian Williams who stepped down from anchoring the ITN-produced show last month.Walker himself said he was "really excited" about the move as he confirmed the news in a video message shared by the official Channel 5 Twitter account.He said: "Hello, Dan Walker here.
I have a little bit of news for you. In the next few weeks, I'm going to be leaving BBC Breakfast and moving to 5 News and to Channel 5."I'm really excited but this has also been a massive decision for me because I love BBC Breakfast.
