Macaulay Culkin is set to take on a surprising new role in the upcoming season of American Horror Story. The Home Alone star, 39, reportedly signed on the dotted line the moment he was asked to take part in season 10 of the hit show.

Creator Ryan Murphy has revealed that he offered Michael Jackson's former pal a "very, very great, insane part," in the programme.

Since finding fame as a child in Home & Alone, Macaulay has taken on infrequent acting gigs, including stints in Will & Grace, The Jim Gaffigan Show and Kings.

However, American Horror Story boss Ryan had been eager to sign Culkin after saying he had "always loved" his work. Speaking to E!
