Covid-19 is spreading rapidly across the Scottish islands of Orkney, a health board has warned. NHS Orkney said it's taking the situation “extremely seriously”  after a 'significant number' of positive cases in the islands.

The new cases in Orkney come after last week's local lockdown in Aberdeen, which is connected to the islands by ferry, following the detection of a cluster of cases.
