Corrie fans spot major coronavirus references - but some characters flout rules

Coronation Street fans spotted several references to the coronavirus pandemic in the latest episode of the ITV soap. From conversations to changes to businesses, Weatherfield has clearly taken Covid-19 social distancing regulations very seriously.

The Rovers Return pub is currently only serving takeaway food, while staff are wearing minor PPE and only accepting card payments.

They also have a one-way system in place, with characters keeping a distance from one another. As well as regular mentions of the virus and reminders to follow the rules, there was also the use of face coverings with Sarah Platt wearing a mask at the hospital - while some fans believed she was wearing it wrong.
