Children and young people are being warned not to be complacent when it comes to the coronavirus pandemic. Young people and their parents are being told "you cannot breeze through this" by the UK Government's top scientists.
Chief Medical Officer Professor Chris Whitty said that while "the great majority" of people won't even show any symptoms or have mild to moderate symptoms he warned it is "a mistake" for young people to think they would not be affected.Professor Whitty said a small proportion of young people "will have severe disease even though they are young and healthy".He said: "‘It is clear that children get this disease much less strongly than adults."I think the data on that is pretty strong now, and it certainly is the case
