It's a difficult time at the moment, with high-stress, isolation and no end in sight. And the UAE has implemented a new mental-health support platform for residents struggling during these trying times.

The new platform, called Taaluf, looks to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 on residents' mental health, through conselling and resource provision.

Taaluf has four pillars that residents can use, through a phone hotline - 800 623 - available weekdays from 9am-9pm, video calls via WhatsApp (by appointment only), 24/7 via the Ministry of Community Development's website or weekly live-streaming services on the ministry's Instagram account (@mocduae).
