Coronavirus lockdown: Nurse left in tears as Aldi customers blast her for using NHS card

A dedicated nurse was left in tears after being challenged for using her NHS card in a branch of Aldi. The Liverpool NHS worker had just come off a 13-hour night shift at Alder Hey Children's Hospital on Monday when she stopped by the supermarket.

She had heard how Aldi has announced that NHS workers do not need to stand in line while supermarkets limit the number of customers entering at a time during the coronavirus pandemic.

When she arrived around 7.55am at the Aldi in Fazakerley she was greeted by a queue of angry shoppers waiting to get in, who began baiting her with rude comments.
