An Aldi worker has revealed the secrets of the supermarket's famously speedy checkout system and said it helps to keep costs low for shoppers.
Brooke Hoskin works as a shop assistant in the budget supermarket's Sydney branch. In a TikTok video she posted before going to work last Friday, she says that workers are timed on how quickly they scan items and move on to the next shopper.
Admitting that it is "so fun", she says: "We do actually get timed. "It's not a major part of performance reviews, but if you're consistently slow, managers might not be a big fan of that."
