The FA Cup is in serious jeopardy with no decision on whether it can go ahead expected until next month. Football Association bosses are determined to make sure it gets finished as the world’s oldest cup competition is already at the quarter final stage.
But there is concern about when it can be completed and there are unlikely to be any real clues until next month at the earliest as to when and if it can go ahead.
There have been suggestions that the final could be staged instead of the Community Shield or the ties completed in a mini tournament but the FA insist no serious plans have been discussed because they do not know what the future holds.
