Robert De Niro moaned he would be 'lucky to earn $7.5m' this year in a bid to stop his ex-wife getting more cash off him. Lawyers for the Goodfellas star said the 76-year-old had seen his finances ravaged in the coronavirus crisis meaning he was unable to afford to raise her monthly payments to ex-wife Grace Hightower.
The couple met in court on a Skype call this week after Grace asked the star for an emergency order when De Niro reportedly slashed her monthly American Express credit limit to $50,000 (£39,700) from $100,000 (£79,400).
According to Page Six, Grace has asked for the amount to be put back to $100,000, but lawyers for the Oscar winner said the reduction was a necessary knock-on effect of the worldwide pandemic.
