Coronation Street star Peter Ash found himself answering back to his on-screen mum as he was seen ditching the UK to an outpouring of messages from his fans.
The actor took to social media over the weekend to reveal he'd swapped Weatherfield for Portugal for a few days of fun. On Instagram, Peter, who is known to viewers for playing Paul Foreman in the ITV soap, first shared a snap of himself at Manchester Airport in which he could be seen enjoying a coffee while keeping himself to himself, sporting a cap and headphones.
Alongside the post, he simply said: "Portugal, here I come!" Alongside another his explained the reason for his trip, saying: "Stag do in #Portugal for my good friend, Clappy!" But on the latter post, Peter's co-star Jane Hazlegrove, who plays Paul's mum Bernie Winter, was quick to respond, asking: "Why’s he called Clappy son?" to which he responded: "His name is Mike Clapp!
