Kirk Sutherland is a fictional character from the British ITV soap opera, Coronation Street. The character first appeared on-screen during the episode airing on 22 May 2000, played by an uncredited actor and originally referred to as Mark. From October onwards, he is played by Andrew Whyment.

dailystar.co.ukCoronation Street could resume filming in a matter of days, according to Corrie star Andy Whyment. The actor, who plays Kirk Sutherland on the soap, revealed show bosses were looking to return to the set as soon as June 8, after months of lockdown.
According to the 39-year-old, there are eight episodes of Coronation Street in the middle of production, with producers scrambling to film the remaining scenes in the coming weeks.
Back in March, filming was suspended indefinitely to protect the health of cast and crew during the coronavirus pandemic, halving the number of weekly episodes aired.
Speaking on talkSPORT's The Sports Bar with Andy Goldstein and Jason Cundy, Andy confirmed: "They're looking at going back around June 8th.
