ITV staff working with Coronation Street and Emmerdale are reportedly 'entering redundancy talks' after the broadcaster confirmed an upcoming change to its schedule pattern.
It was announced on Tuesday (February 4) that from January 2026, Coronation Street and Emmerdale will move to a new scheduling pattern on ITV1, which the network is dubbing its soap 'power hour'.

The episodes will also continue to drop at 7am on ITVX, before transmission that evening, a change which was introduced late last year.
