Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier will face off for a second time early next year. The MMA rivals will headline UFC 257 which is set to take place in Las Vegas on January 23, despite the Irishman having twice retired from the sport - the second of which coming as recently as June.
Negotiations for the lightweight bout are said to have been taking place for several weeks, with McGregor allegedly still keen to get it booked for an early date in December.The 32-year-old has expressed his frustration at the promotion following his victory over Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone back in January, and even suggested a charity fight with Poirier in the meantime.MMA Fighting have reported that the deal has been confirmed with both sides.
