Conor McGregor has been berated by fans after accepting an offer from Oscar De La Hoya to fight him in the ring. The Dubliner first entered the ring as a boxer in 2017 when he took on the unbeaten Floyd Mayweather.
It ended in a loss after technical knockout in the 10th round but McGregor still has an appetite for the sport. However, some fans are unhappy with the nature he has turned his back on the UFC.
Mixed martial arts is where McGregor made his name but has fought just twice since that fight against Mayweather.
