Outdoor arts performances can resume this weekend, the Culture, Media and Sport Secretary Oliver Dowden has announced - giving the go-ahead for theatres, opera, dance and music to return.At a Downing Street press briefing tonight he warned that audience numbers will be restricted and will be subject to social distancing rules.Mr Dowden said a change in planning rules will also mean theatres, concert halls and live music venues will be protected from demolition or change of use by developers, stopping those that have been made temporarily vacant during lockdown disappearing altogether.Mr Dowden said in a statement: “Our culture, heritage and arts are too precious to lose.
