Grieving friends and family have paid a beautiful tribute to Fizza Ahmed, a Didsbury woman who was found dead last month. They say she was a ‘hero’.

"She was a hero — on two separate occasions, returning from her lunch break having been the first responder to a man suffering a heart attack at the wheel in the car park of our neighbouring Tesco Parrs Wood; as well as assisting victims involved in a serious road traffic accident on Wilmslow Road. “Her easy and incredibly compassionate manner enabled her to quickly build a rapport with our patients, instantly making them feel at ease – a selection of tributes left for her on her memorial page by some of our patients are testament to this.” A former colleague, Dr Alasdair Honeyman, a GP from Moss Side branch of the Longsight Medical Practice, also said she was ‘so full of delight and passion’.
