Coleen Rooney says she ‘cried every weekend’ as Wayne left her at £900k home to play football

COLEEN Rooney has admitted she “cried every weekend” when her husband Wayne left her at home to play football. The mum-of-four was just 17 when she moved into her first house with the famous striker and has revealed how hard the transition was for her.

Now, 35, Coleen says she struggled living in Formby away from her family and friends in Liverpool – and she was often left in tears.

The couple moved into a £900k property on Millionaire's Row, which was a far cry from her family home. Speaking in the new Amazon Prime documentary, Coleen shares:  “The thought of it was all fine and great, but obviously you were away every weekend and I used to leave my mum's and cry all the way home to mine. “It was all of a sudden and it was a matter of months, everything just happened.” She adds: “We've always grown up quicker than what we were meant to I think.
