Chelsea are set to shell out up to £18m in add ons to sign Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen. Tha sum, on top of a £72m transfer fee, will make the midfielder their club-record signing to smash the £71m record they paid previously to sign Kepa Arrizabalaga.The Blues' long pursuit of the Havertz looks to be coming to an end, with Sport Bild saying the transfer is about to be completed.Leverkusen were previously reluctant to accept anything other than a straight £90m cash deal but have been persuaded to soften their stance.The Bundesliga side will accept Chelsea’s offer and Havertz is expected to sign a five-year contract with the west Londoners, having allegedly already agreed personal terms with his proposed new club.The initial £72m fee.
