Actor Clark Middleton has died at the age of 63. The Twin Peaks and Blacklist star lost his life after contracting mosquito-borne disease West Nile virus.
He died on Sunday, October 4, his wife Elissa confirmed. She said in a statement: "Clark transitioned on 4 October as a result of West Nile Virus, for which there is no known cure.
Clark was a beautiful soul who spent a lifetime defying limits and advocating for people with disabilities." She called her husband a "beloved actor, writer, director, teacher, hero, husband, beacon, friend".
Clark had his own health battles throughout his life, having developed juvenile rheumatoid arthritis at the age of four. As an adult, he became a spokesperson for The Arthritis Foundation.
