This week marks the biggest step towards a return to normal for city centre traders and shoppers.On Monday, crowds flocked to the Thistles shopping centre after the First Minister gave the nod for indoor malls to open as part of the latest round of lockdown easing measures.Queues of up to 50 people lined the streets before the doors opened after more than three months of closure.Inside the centre there is a one-way system, two metre social distancing and face masks are mandatory — as is the case in all shops.From today (Wednesday), hairdressers join other high street businesses as the latest to welcome back customers.The time for a much-needed trim arrived for locals, as hairdressers and barbers opened their doors for the first time since.
