Manchester United outcast Chris Smalling is finally set to end his stay at Old Trafford. The defender - who joined the Red Devils from Fulham in July 2010 - spent the duration of the 2019-20 season on loan in Italy with Serie A giants Roma.Smalling, who United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had deemed to be surplus to requirements, enjoyed a good season in the Italian capital - in which he made a total of 37 appearances for the Wolves.Roma have been trying to re-acquire Smalling's services on a permanent basis over the last few weeks but have yet to meet United's valuation of the England international.
